6 Days Kidepo Valley Fly-in Safari of Northern Uganda

• You’ll be collected from the airport.

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by a Zootopia Game Drives representative and transferred to your hotel. Check-in at the Boma or any accommodation of your choice in Entebbe, which will be your home for this night. Depending on your flight, you may be able to visit the botanical gardens and later enjoy a sunset cruise.

Day 2:

Entebbe – Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, you’ll meet your Zootopia Game Drives guide in the lobby and transfer to the Entebbe Airport for your scheduled domestic flight to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival at the local airstrip, you will be met and transferred to Chobe Lodge. After checking in for lunch, you will spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool before going on a game drive around the lodge.

After an early breakfast you’ll make your way through Murchison Falls National Park for an exclusive game drive. You have the chance to see giraffes, elephants, lions, hartebeest, and different bird species. Lunch will be served at the Paraa Safari Lodge. Our safari will then continue on a Nile River boat cruise for game viewing at close quarters. Upon reaching the bottom of the falls, you will have an opportunity to see where the calm Nile forces itself through a narrow, eight-meter gorge and falls about 150 ft. into a thunderous roar of white water—an absolutely incredible sight!

After breakfast, you’ll go on your very first nature walk in the African bush. You will enjoy the birdlife, butterflies, scenery, and panoramic views of the Nile. Later you’ll spend some time relaxing by the pool before transferring to the airstrip for your one-hour flight to Kidepo Valley National Park. Upon arrival at the Apoka airstrip, you will be met and transferred to the Apoka Lodge for lunch and relaxation. Later you’ll enjoy an evening game drive in search of giraffes, ostriches, zebras, elephants, and lions. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 5

Kidepo Valley National Park

You will spend a full day in one of the most beautiful—and certainly most remote—national parks in Uganda! Early in the morning, you will explore the Narus River Valley on a game drive in search of giraffes, ostriches, zebras, elephants, and lions. This park is also a birder’s paradise, as it boasts well over 475 species. Later you’ll eat lunch and relax before going on a visit to one of the local Karamojong communities. The Karamojong tribe is well known for its unique nomadic lifestyle and rich storytelling traditions.

Day 6

Kidepo Valley – Entebbe

After breakfast, you will explore the Narus River Valley on a game drive in search of giraffes, ostriches, zebras, elephants, and lions. This park is also a birder’s paradise, as it boasts well over 475 species. Later you will return to the lodge for lunch before transferring to the Apoka airstrip for your one hour and forty-five-minute flight to Entebbe. Upon arrival in Entebbe you’ll connect with your international departure flight.
